Q.  Is there a bar at the Hilton?

A.  Not only is there a bar with a very nice lounge area at the Hilton, Dallas Base member, Stan  

      Miller will be entertaining in the lounge several nights during the convention.  Stan sings

      popular music and also provides Karaoke for fun. 

Q.  Where are the hospitality and vendor rooms located? 

A.  The hospitality room, vendor room, registration and help desk are all located on the

      second level of the Hilton.  The hospitality room will be open 7:00am to midnight.

      Coffee will be available starting at 7:00am and a cash bar will open at noon.

Q.  Is there transportation to the formal banquet on Saturday night?

A.  Yes, transportation will be provided.  This dinner is being catered by the nationally known

      Reata Restaurant.

Q. What is this register early and win drawing?

A.  Any person registered for the 2008 convention before July 1^st will automatically be entered

       into a drawing to win a $100.00 Visa Gift Card.  Two cards will be given away to early

       registrants and each paid registration is eligible to win.  Registration must be received by

      July 1^st to be eligible.  Those already registered for the convention will be entered into the

      drawing.  The winners will be notified and the gift cards will be mailed by July 15^th. 

    Q. Do I have to be present at the convention to win one of the raffle prizes listed on the web site,
        such as the 50/50, quilt, etc?

1. No, you need not be present to win. Tickets will be sold throughout the convention and winners announced
   during the Formal Banquet.  The prizes will be shipped to winners not present.

  Hint: Bring lots of address labels.

    Q.  Is there public transportation to The Stockyards?

1. A bus line makes several round trips a day with convenient stops in Sundance Square area.

   There will be information available at the Help Desk during the convention.

    Q. Is the Texas Hold’em tournament for men only?

1. No, it is open to anyone registered for the convention?  Wives and guests are welcome. 

   The more the merrier.

Q.    Are there many restaurants near the hotels?

A.     There are over 25 restaurants, bars & deli’s in Sundance Square within easy walking

       distance of the hotels.  Information will be available at the Help Desk.  Recently a

       Ruth’s Chris Steak House opened in the Hilton Hotel.

Q.    Are there any convenience stores near the hotels?

A.     Yes, information will be available at the Help Desk along with walking maps of the Sundance Square area.
